I'm mildly amazed that professional news
people who are badmouthing polygamy
are trying to pin it with everything
from birth defects to child abuse,
tax rip-off,
child neglect,
and mind control.
These acts are not related to polygamy,
any more than they are related to monogamous marriages,
and they ARE commonly related to monogamous marriages,
and a dozen other types relationships I would think.
What is truly amazing is that
Christians are sold out to the concepts
the news is presenting.
Folks,
once again,
polygamy
is explicitly 'forbidden' in scripture ONLY to four groups:
1) No woman may have more than one partner who is living,
(Rom 7:2 and others),
and
2) No man who is a church leader may have more than one wife,
(Titus 1 and Timothy 3),
and
3) No king may accumulate wives,
(Deut 17:17),
and
4) No man who has divorced any women may take additional wives,
(Matt 19:9).
Also,
(but this applies to any marriage),
5) No man who can't afford it can take [additional] wives,
(Ex 21:10).
I fail to see ANY other men restricted by holy scripture.
If you add men who are restricted by Western Civil Laws,
you can eliminate everyone in the western world since,
(unless it is requires us to sin),
(Heb 13:17),
Christian men are instructed to obey civil laws.
The flip side of this is also quite disgusting:
Western thinking believes that sex does not result in a joining,
and that multiple partners is not polygamy.
The bible teaches clearly,
that this is a lie,
(1 Cor 6:16).
Thus it seems the way to avoid stepping on toes in this area
is to side step the civil wedding process,
which isn't marriage anyway,
(Genesis 2:24,
and Matt 19:5,
6).
Any heinous crime that can be attributed to a polygamist,
can also be attributed to any monogamous marriage.
(Lack of love,
lack of provision,
incest and birth defects,
selfishness,
tax evasion,
mind and physical control,
manipulation,
adultery,
fornication,
ad nauseum...
)
"Good" western civil marriages are rife with these acts,
and their satanic civil laws generously provide for much more of the same.
Please don't tell me that ALL polygamy is ungodly without good biblical evidence,
and please don't tell me any morbidity is not simply more so
because there are more relationships involved.
I believe firmly,
that any Christian that tells you that
all polygamy is sin,
is a liar themselves,
indoctrinated
in lies.
I also believe firmly,
that any Christian who says that
"a whore is NOT joined in marriage to her
partner by God,
just as Adam and Eve were joined,
because
of the act of having sex",
is also a liar and indoctrinated
in lies.
Lies that work against the Holy One that made us,
and against His Son,
Jesus Christ,
our redeemer.
