tho Im not sure how to interpret this statement in view of scripture:
"However, I do not believe that He has a double standard for men and women as it relates to His view of what constitutes a proper marriage relationship."
Such as "If he take him another wife..." in Exodus 21:10 and so on.
Perhaps its easier to ask why scripture bothers to delineate limits for Kings, Deacons, Bishops etc, when it would be more effective to renounce polygamy in general.
