Godly intentions can only come from God, YES?
In 1 Cornithians 6 The apostle Paul revealed a glorious truth about salvation.
He said;
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS,
nor idolaters,
nor adulterers,
nor effeminate,
nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves,
nor covetous,
nor drunkards,
nor revilers,
nor extortioners,
SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD."
"And such were some of you: BUT YOU ARE WASHED, BUT YOU ARE SANCTIFIED, BUT YOU ARE JUSTIFIED, and by the Spirit of our God."
This my friend, is the great blessing that is given SO freely of being forever UNBOUND, no longer enslaved to follow after these sins. Notice that the being verb is present tense. This is a work complete at the moment of salvation! WOW! Dont cha' love that?
The MOST marvelous WORK of God is that we who have recieved Jesus Christ for our personal Savior, recognising He is the God-man, are washed clean from all our past evil deeds, given the very rigtheousness of Jesus Christ, and presently stand innocent before God, just as if we have never sinned. All by the power of the Spirit of OUR God.
"For he has made him (Jesus Christ), [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might *be made the righteousness of God* in him."
We are unbound then~ no longer does sin have power over us. So we are blessed to be bound NOT to be fornicators.
My prose way of saying that I was bound (enslaved) to my sin a FORNICATOR,
now I am just as bound (as a willing slave of Jesus Christ)
NOT to FORNICATE! YEAH!
Friend, like a hot knife thru butter God's Word will touch our soul, before it even reaches our mind.
