There's a saying that goes, you can't stop a bird from flying above your head but can stop it from building a nest on your head.Where do thoughts come from...sometimes from the enemy, other times, from what we feed on.Recently, I have been having a lot lustful thoughts but I have also to my shame been watching more TV than studying my bible, praying or fellowshipping....Truth, I guess I've been a bit discouraged so I've been sulking..I recently took all my anger, frustration to the Lord...It's a scary thought to consider that God would want me to be single...But what goes through my mind.."trust the Lord with all your heart and all your might"...Can we ever control our thoughts...no and yes..When a thought comes that's bad, it just hits you, you can meditate on it especially if it's something that makes your flesh feel good....or you can repent, take it to the Lord even if He already knows about it, then meditate on a passage from His word that comes to mind...
Shalom and blessings.
